me and enter a realm far removed from the hustle, bustle and stress of the
modern world. Actively
participate in a uniquely informal voyage of discovery aboard a tastefully
converted 1922 ex cargo barge as it explores timeless reaches of France's most
beautiful canals and rivers.
Together
we'll soak up some of the rich heritage, mouth watering cuisine, delicious
cheese and world renowned wines that reward France with it's global reputation
for gastronomic excellence.
Our final route is decided by you!
After casting off in April 2009, the route, as determined by you, my guest crews, will probably see us meander our way through the canals and rivers of Lorraine before reaching the 'magical' River Meuse and soaking up some of the finest river landscapes in Europe during mid and late May. June and July should find us exploring Alsace's exciting Zorn valley and Arzviller barge lift toward Strasbourg before plunging south through the Vosges to uncover the bounty of Burgundy and beyond to the vineyards of Champagne, possibly reaching Paris by the end of the autumn. The earlier you reserve, the more route choices you'll have!
